The Promise: No Invented Testing
Most affiliate review sites pretend. They describe the "feel on the first wear" of shoes that never left the merchant’s warehouse, invent week-three break-in anecdotes, and publish star ratings with no visible basis.
We made a simpler decision: we do not claim experiences we have not had. Every review on this site tells you, in a plainly labelled box at the top, exactly what it is based on. When we have not done long-term wear testing, the page says so. We would rather be visibly limited than invisibly dishonest.
What Our Reviews Are Built From
| Source | How we use it |
|---|---|
| Manufacturer specifications | Materials, construction, drop, sizing scales — taken from the merchant’s published product data and clearly attributed |
| Published sizing charts | Reproduced with foot-length measurements so you can check against your own feet, with a note to re-verify before ordering |
| Merchant policies | Returns, shipping and warranty terms read from the seller’s own policy pages at the time of writing |
| Customer rating data | Where shown, sourced from the merchant’s published review counts, labelled with the date we checked |
| Independent video reviews | Embedded from YouTube with full attribution — creators who bought or cut the shoes apart themselves |
| General fit principles | Foot-health guidance drawn from public clinical sources (NHS, AAOS), linked where cited, never presented as medical advice |
How the Money Works
This site earns affiliate commissions: when you buy through our links, the merchant pays us a percentage. It costs you nothing extra. Every page that contains such links carries a disclosure at the top.
Three rules keep that honest. First, commissions never buy coverage — no merchant has paid us to write, edit or remove a review, and none can. Second, we write the trade-offs section of every review with the same care as the praise; you will find prices questioned and limitations named on every product we cover. Third, when we have no affiliate relationship with a brand we compare against, we say so on the page.
Updates and Corrections
Prices, colourways and policies change. Every article carries an "Updated" date, and factual corrections are made directly in the text. If you spot something wrong — a dead link, an outdated price, a claim that no longer holds — use the contact page and we will fix it.
